Keeping daily records without the admin overload
A short routine that keeps your books tidy in a few minutes a day.
Bookkeeping becomes painful when it is done monthly from a shoebox of receipts. Done daily, it is a few lines of typing.
A five minute routine
At the end of the day, record money in and money out, note anything unpaid, and file receipts by month. That is the whole routine.
Once a week, compare your record against your bank balance. Differences found within a week are easy to explain; differences found after three months rarely are.
