Packaging supplies worth buying in bulk
The few items that reduce cost per parcel for small online sellers.
Packaging is a small cost per order and a large cost per year. Buying three or four standard items in bulk usually beats buying whatever is nearby each week.
Standardise on two parcel sizes if you can. It makes shipping quotes predictable and shortens the time spent packing.
- Two standard box or mailer sizes
- One roll of quality tape rather than three cheap ones
- Pre-printed labels for repeat products
Bulk packs typically pay for themselves after 40–60 parcels
